Sophomore Year (10th Grade)
Course We Offer
Sophomore year subjects and grades will be used as reference by college advisor to determine for school acceptance.
Students in the 10th grade will also take the PSAT exam in October. PSAT means to prepare give students a preview on how
SAT exams are conducted. Possible scholarships could be received by students who do well on the PSAT exam. ABCmath
Academy offers courses from SAT/PSAT, SQ III Math, SAT II Math IIC, Writing to Chemistry. All those courses
will prepare students to be ahead of the game in the 10th grade. SAT/PSAT preparation class aims to prepare students to do well on
English Verbal and Math. SQ III Math class aim to help students to get familiar with the questions and provide tips to make them stay ahead of the course. Writing class will make students to read new york times and other sources and ask them to write response to
those articles. In this exercise, student will improve both of their reading and writing skills. Chemistry course will
prepare students with knowledge that will help they to do well on both regent and SAT II Chemistry.
Course Focus and Study Tips

- Advanced Placement Examination in May
- 儘量吸收大量單字
- 高級英文文法、寫作、閱讀均加強
- 數學應要求修完SQ III (代數三)
- 所有課程儘量加入榮譽班並多選AP課程
- 五月應至少考一門 AP Course
- 六月考SAT II Chemistry
- 六月考SAT II Math IIC
